Description
The International Student Coordination Office at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University was established in 2019 with the purpose of supporting international students enrolled in associate degree, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs, in accordance with the university's internationalization policy.
Aim
The International Student Coordination Office aims to ensure that the education and training activities of international students studying at our university are conducted in an effective and transparent manner, to facilitate their highest level of active participation in social and cultural life, and to assist them in resolving any challenges they may encounter in these areas during their education. In addition, our Coordination Office seeks to enhance the recognition of our country and university abroad, thereby encouraging international students to choose our university, and aims to develop a feasible and sustainable international strategy. The presence of international students at our university will provide them with opportunities to know themselves better, resolve their personal, social, private and academic problems, make realistic decisions, adapt to their environment in a healthy and balanced manner, and realize their all potential .In this way, students from our country will not only have the opportunity to closely get to know different societies and cultures, but also the chance to introduce our country’s cultural richness to international students.
Duties
• To provide international students with information regarding applications, admissions, registration, and other related matters for associate, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, and to direct them to the relevant departments,
• To facilitate the adaptation of international students admitted to our university to the city and to the university,
• To publish program-related international student quotas and other important announcements on the updated website and to ensure the website is regularly maintained,
• To produce coordinated solutions to the academic and administrative issues of students within relevant departments through academic advisors responsible for international students,
• To assist in organizing international education fairs, promotional events, and social activities to promote interaction among international students and between international and domestic students,
•To provide international students registered at our university with information on campus life, accommodation, and health services,
•To receive documents from students who will apply for a residence permit for the first time or extend their residence permits and to submit them to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
